Abstract
This collection consists of 23 volumes pertaining to various functions of the Cambridge municipal government. All volumes are hand-written. Included are notebooks kept by municipal employees detailing land use, sewers and drains, railroads, alcohol licenses, and parks. One item of note is the diary of T.P. O’Neill, father of 47th Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill. T.P. O’Neill, Sr. was Inspector of the Parks Department and later Superintendent of Sewers.
