Hurley Family Photographs

Abstract The Hurley Family Photograph Collection consists of copy prints of photographs and one original print on cardstock. The images date from circa 1860s to the 1920s. Hurley’s ancestry showcased in the collection comprise of the Moran, Graves, Welsh and Ward families. Individuals include Olive, Mary, and Virginia Graves, David Walsh, and Joseph Moran Sr. Marshal Ferdinand Foch, unrelated is showcased in one image.

Maryellen V. Fitzgerald Bicentennial Collection

Abstract The Maryellen V. Fitzgerald Collection consists of twenty photographs and two pieces of memorabilia. The photographs document some of the events and many of the individuals involved in the Cambridge celebration of the American Bicentennial. The photographs cover the period 1974-1976. Also included are one piece of memorabilia, an armband, and a few lines of light verse composed by Ms. Fitzgerald.

Abstract The Maryellen V. Fitzgerald Cambridge 350th Anniversary Collection consists primarily of twenty-eight photographs. Also found in the collection are Mayor Francis Duehay’s proclamations announcing the Founders Day celebrations, several mayoral commendations including two of Ms. Fitzgerald, four publications on the history of Cambridge, a program of the final celebratory dinner, “Salute to Cambridge,” and memorabilia – two 350th buttons.

Ruth Priest Gray Scrap Book Collection

Abstract This collection of scrap books were prepared by Ruth P. Gray, span a forty-five year time period, and are made up predominantly of newspaper clippings, with a scattering of magazine articles and fliers. The scrap books give a sweeping picture of the environment and life of Cambridge in the latter half of the Twentieth Century. Mrs. Gray was interested in a wide variety of Cambridge subject matter, including obituaries, retirements, fires, personalities, organizations, local color, community...
