Collection Overview

This collection contains approximately 300 postcards depicting Cambridge scenes, including neighborhoods, buildings, schools, businesses, monuments, events, people, etc. at different periods of time. There are duplicate views of some scenes that have been republished with slight variations in re-touching or tilting. The bulk of the collection is early 20th Century and includes examples of early postcards, undivided backs, divided backs, the linen era, white border period, and modern photo chrome. This collection will be added to as donations and purchases are received.

No known records of transfer. Some postcards were donated, others purchased, primarily from Ebay by the archivist.
